Island home cooking from the Monkeypod Jam family, rooted in 50 Kauai farms
Cooking Kauai is the class side of Monkeypod Jam, a Kauai preserves business. Over 15 years it has built relationships with more than 50 island farms. Classes run in the family's Provisions Kitchen and focus on local food: where ingredients come from, what's in season and how to cook it well.
The signature Corner Store Class covers everyday island favorites. The menu is Kauai Style Musubi, Somen Salad, Ahi Poke Bowls and Butter Mochi, with vegetarian and pescatarian options. The lineup also includes a Kinusaiga Workshop and the CK Cookbook Club, Everyone's Table.
Private groups of up to 12 can book their own class, either in the Provisions Kitchen or off-site. Sample menus include a vegetarian Farm-to-Table dinner and a Holiday Cookie Tin class. All payments are final, but you can pass your ticket to someone else. Events with fewer than six guests are canceled and refunded or rescheduled.
