Hands-on downtown Boise school for all ages, with Tapas Bite Night team cook-offs
Season + Taste is a recreational cooking school in downtown Boise. Owner and head chef educator Christina Murray runs it, and professional chefs lead the classes. Every class is completely hands on and open to all ages. The focus is on techniques you can repeat in your own kitchen.
The schedule includes adult and family cooking classes, pastry and baking classes, and kids, teen and family sessions. There are also kids holiday camps and after-school programs. The school rents out its commercial kitchen, runs culinary vacations and sells gift cards.
Private events are a big part of what they do. They usually last about three hours. Prices start at $1,600, and they fit up to 45 guests, with options for larger parties. Your chef will help build a custom menu. For a competitive night, Tapas Bite Night, also called "Fight Night," splits guests into teams picked by captains. Teams work from hidden ingredient trays against the clock and are judged on their dishes. Guests 21 and over can bring beer or wine. You pay in full to hold your date, and refunds aren't offered.
