Sur La Table's in-store teaching kitchen at Old Orchard Mall in Skokie
This Sur La Table kitchen is in the Old Orchard Mall store in Skokie, north of Chicago. It runs around 390 upcoming sessions across more than 100 classes.
Classes are hands-on at shared stations of up to four people. Chef instructors lead, and ingredients and equipment are provided. Sessions run 2 to 2½ hours, and you taste generous portions of what you cook.
In Skokie the calendar is built around seasonal dinners, pasta and baking. Pasta options include Fresh Pasta Workshop, Hand-Rolled Pasta: Shapes & Sauces and From-Scratch Ravioli. Restaurant-Style Ramen and Intro to Sushi Making are on the schedule. Pastry runs from macarons to croissants and brioche. Date Night classes such as French Countryside and Beef Wellington Feast are priced at $99. Family Fun classes cost $69, and Tiny Taste Makers for kids is $49. Adult classes here cost less than at the Chicago and Naperville stores.
