How much does a class cost?

A Standard Class is $149 per person and a Premium Class is $195 per person.

What is the difference between Standard and Premium?

Standard runs 3 hours and covers 3 to 4 dishes. Premium runs 4 to 4.5 hours and covers 5 to 6 dishes, and with a Pick a Cuisine booking you can request 1 to 2 dishes.

Can I book a private class?

Yes. A private Standard Class for up to 8 guests is $1192 and a private Premium Class is $1560. Groups of 9 or more pay the regular per-person rate.

Are there pets in the home?

Yes. Five rescue chihuahuas and a baby pig live there and are part of the experience.

About Hawaiian Style Cooking Class

Hawaiian Style Cooking Class runs out of a private home on the Diamond Head coast of Honolulu. Chef Linda teaches every class. She has spent almost 40 years in food and beverage and has cooked her way through classes around the world. She often gives a dish her own "local flavor" with seasonal Hawaii ingredients.

Classes are fully hands-on. The Standard Class runs three hours and covers 3 to 4 dishes. The Premium Class runs 4 to 4.5 hours and covers 5 to 6 dishes, and with a Premium "Pick a Cuisine" booking you can request one or two dishes. Sample menus range from Hawaii Local Favorites and Traditional Hawaiian to Thai, Korean, Dim Sum, Greek, Moroccan and Indian. Final menus are revealed at the class.

After cooking, everyone eats at a communal table with wine, beer or another drink. You go home with the recipes and a keepsake. Five rescue chihuahuas and a baby pig live in the house, which guests tend to love. It works well for visitors, couples and small private groups.
