Lettuce Cook is an in-home cooking lesson service in Houston. There's no classroom. Chef Brittany comes to your kitchen and teaches a private lesson. Most lessons are built around kids. Your child cooks a main dish, a side and a dessert, then serves the meal to the family. Popular menus include spaghetti and meat sauce, street tacos, cajun chicken fettuccine, beef and broccoli and homemade pizza.
Lessons run about two hours. Chef Brittany brings all the cooking equipment and safety gear, including cut resistant gloves. There's no age limit. Students as young as three have made their own entrees and dessert. Teens, couples, one on one adults and seniors book lessons too. Allergies are the first thing she asks about after you book, and she can cook vegetarian or vegan.
Lettuce Cook also hosts birthday parties, homeschool groups, scout troops, socials and team building. It has a 5 star Google rating from 36 reviews. Payment is by personal check, Venmo, Zelle or Apple Pay.
