Charcuterie, brunch and dessert board workshops taught by Charlotte board maker Brittany
Something Bleu Custom Charcuterie is a Charlotte board business run by Brittany Worrell Boyce. She started it in summer 2020 after years of making boards for family and friends. Most of the business is custom cheese boards and grazing tables, made in a shared commercial kitchen in Cabarrus County. Brittany also teaches the classes herself.
These workshops teach you to build a board. There's no cooking. You learn how to pick cheeses, follow a simple formula for arranging a board and add decorative touches, such as a fall theme before Thanksgiving. Private bookings come as charcuterie, brunch board or dessert board classes and can be held in a home or office for groups of five or more. A live Zoom version sends you a shopping list ahead of time.
Public classes go up on the classes page and on social media. Some events are open only to residents of the host community. Tickets cover materials, ingredients and instruction. Each ticket is for one board, so a couple can share one. Google reviewers rate it 4.9 from 24 reviews.
