Cocina Corazón - Mexican Cooking Classes & Chef

Cocina Corazón is Barbara Santos-McAllister's Mexican cooking business. Barb grew up in Mexico City and learned to cook from her grandmothers and her mother. She moved to Colorado Springs in 2012. Her classes use recipes from Puebla, Yucatán, Jalisco, Oaxaca and other regions.

Every class is a private booking for your own group. Barb can come to your kitchen anywhere in Colorado Springs and nearby, with no minimum group size. She also hosts 10 to 20 people at her kitchen studio in Green Mountain Falls, where you can bring your own drinks. You pick a tier. Essentials (1 to 1.5 hours) covers salsas, rice and sides. Signature (2 to 3 hours) covers dishes like chilaquiles and chicken tinga. Premium (2.5 to 4 hours) takes on mole poblano, chiles en nogada and cochinita pibil. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free versions are possible.

Classes are fully hands-on, and you eat what you cook. Companies can book team-building at their own site, at the studio, or over Zoom for up to 100 people. Barb has a 5-star Google rating from 228 reviews.
