Cook Street School of Culinary Arts has trained professional cooks in Denver's Golden Triangle since 1999, and it opens the same kitchen to home cooks year-round. The 3,500 square foot space has commercial gas cooktops, a French stove top, a combi oven, a gas grill and a separate pastry kitchen. Recreational classes are hands-on and taught by professional chefs, built on the French and Italian classic techniques the school teaches its certificate students.
You can book a one-night class, a multi-day Classic Techniques course, a series, or baking, pastry, and wine, beer and spirits classes. Evening classes start with a welcome cocktail from the resident sommelier and a charcuterie tray, and every guest gets a recipe packet. Wine and beer are sold throughout the class.
Private events take 10 to 35 guests. Choices include a hands-on class followed by a three-course meal, a culinary competition the chefs judge, or a happy hour from 3 to 5pm. The school holds a 4.6 Google rating from 82 reviews.
