Omaha caterer and event space teaching seasonal, locally sourced classes at two sites
Heirloom Fine Foods is an Omaha caterer and event space that also runs cooking classes for home cooks. Its main kitchen is near 72nd and Cass at 325 N 72nd Street, Suite 200. Some classes now run at a second location in Millwork Commons on Nicholas Street. The team buys from local producers such as Flavor Country Farms, Honey Creek Creamery and Plum Creek Farms.
Classes come in two styles. Technique driven classes are the more serious option and focus on classic cooking techniques. Culinary adventure classes mix cooking with demonstrations from the chefs. The fall lineup follows the holidays, with Perfect Holiday Pies and Desserts and Thanksgiving Done Right. Most run as 6 to 9pm evening sessions, and one longer Saturday class goes from 11am to 3pm.
Groups can book a private class built around their event, and the space holds a full liquor license. Tickets are nonrefundable, but Heirloom will try to resell them for you. It has a 4 rating from 13 Google reviews.
