Cooking school · Powell, OH
Chef-led, hands-on classes in downtown Powell, with private groups of 12 to 18
The Recipe Cooking & Company runs hands-on cooking classes from its kitchen at 28 N. Liberty Street in historic downtown Powell. Professional chefs lead every class. The focus is practical. They use accessible ingredients and everyday appliances, so you can make the dishes again at home and use the techniques in other recipes. Aspiring home cooks and seasoned veterans are both welcome.
Private classes take groups of 12 to 18. Guests split into small teams, each cooking a different part of the meal, and the chef gives one-on-one help. Then everyone serves themselves from a buffet in the dining room. Menus include Tuscan Cuisine, a Fresh Pasta Workshop, a Modern Steakhouse Workshop and a Holiday Champagne Brunch with mimosas. Wine, beer and signature cocktails are available a la carte.
The newer Crafted by the Chef experiences are something different: a chef-prepared, multi-course meal rather than a class. The Recipe also runs in-home classes and catered events, rents out its kitchen and dining area, and offers professional knife sharpening.
