Slovak and Eastern European baking taught by Lenka in your own Park City kitchen
Bake with Lenka is a one-woman baking business in Park City, Utah. Lenka comes to you and teaches in your home, Airbnb or rental kitchen. She brings the ingredients, tools and recipes. Her classes come from her Slovak roots and her grandmother's recipes. Kolaches with plum butter and cheese are her favorite.
There are three classes. Traditional Slovak Kolaches & Babka Bread covers two yeasted pastries. Spiced Apple & Cinnamon Star Bread is a shaped loaf filled with apple, cardamom and cinnamon. Pirohy is the savory one: you make dough from scratch and shape Slovak pirohy, Ukrainian vareniki and Russian pelmeni with fillings like potato and cheese or dill and mushroom. Then everyone sits down to eat them.
Every class is hands-on, runs about two to two and a half hours and is booked on request, so you pick the date. It works well for couples, families and visiting groups staying in Park City. Lenka also hosts birthday and bachelorette party classes.
