Kitchen store with classes · Salt Lake City, UT
Grocery store cooking school with five Utah kitchens, each run by its own chef
Harmons Cooking School runs teaching kitchens inside five Harmons grocery stores: Holladay Market, Bangerter Crossing in Draper, Traverse Mountain in Lehi, Station Park in Farmington and Santa Clara. Each kitchen has its own resident chef and its own calendar. Most classes are two-hour evening sessions. You cook in small groups at shared workstations, then eat what you made.
Menus lean toward comfort food built around a theme. At Holladay, pastry-trained Chef Tara Walker teaches Rustic Southern Italian Comfort, where you shape orecchiette for a white bean and kale soup. In Draper, Chef Dee Beltz left banking for culinary school at 49. She now teaches fresh pasta, Greek souvlaki with homemade pita, and a hibachi night. Station Park runs cake decorating classes focused on piping.
Many evening classes are 21+ with wine pairings, and you need photo ID for those. Seats run $65 to $95. The date night class is sold per couple. Private events for 8 to 16 people cover holiday parties, company events and chef's tables.
