French pastry bakery at 16 Tech teaching macarons, croissants and croquembouche
Circle City Sweets is a French-style bakery in the AMP at 16 Tech, best known locally for its croissants. The shop's dessert team won the dessert category at the 2025 World Food Championships. It holds a 4.5 Google rating from 93 reviews.
Classes run about three hours and you take home everything you make. The French macarons class is the big one: you make a full batch and leave with roughly 100 cookies in up to six flavors. A couples version has you and a partner share one batch. Laminated Doughs covers croissants and kouign-amann, part hands-on and part demo. The holiday calendar adds a Thanksgiving pie class, a croquembouche class and a $25 Cookies for Santa session.
You sign up by calling the shop. The preferred minimum age is 16, but you can email to ask for an exception. Each class needs a minimum number of students to run. Look for the entrance off Gent Avenue, not the main Waterway Boulevard address.
