Cookin' Class

Cookin' Class is a small cooking studio on SW Greenburg Rd in Tigard. It sits behind a furniture store and runs public classes Wednesday through Sunday. Classes come in four styles. Mini Classes take 1.5 hours. Everyday Eats teaches beginner-friendly weeknight meals. The Dinner Party Series runs 3 to 3.5 hours and gets more technical. Date Night classes are for couples 18 and up. There are more than 20 menus, including pho broth learned in Hanoi and Da Nang, a Korean Night with bibimbap and bingsu, Nashville hot chicken and hand-cut pappardelle.

Guests praise Chef Tashi Espinoza for his patient, methodical teaching and his love of food history. Cortney Legrady focuses on beginner skills. Claire Espinoza handles bookings and dietary needs. You cook everything yourself, then eat in the dining room while the staff clean up. The recipe is emailed within 24 hours.

There's a bar with beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks for purchase. At date night, each couple gets one of six private stations. Kids over 7 can join most classes with an adult, and there are also kids-only sessions. Google reviewers rate it 4.9 from 176 reviews.
