Team building with a chef running the room
Cucina Migrante is an Italian cooking and dining company founded by Francesco Bonsinetto and Adisa Ziric. Its chefs cook Italian, Sicilian and Mediterranean menus. The main venue is in Golden Hill, close to downtown San Diego. The team also uses partner venues around the county or comes to your home. Menus follow what local farmers have that week, and the chefs tell you the story behind each dish while you cook.
Most of the work is private and corporate. The farm to fork cooking class is hands-on and ends with a four-course dinner or lunch. The shorter Pasta & Gelato class has you making fresh pasta and sauce, with gelato to finish. Couples can book a custom class or a plated dinner. Private experiences cost $130 to $300 per person and need at least 6 guests.
Public events are ticketed and open to anyone. Expect to share the table with solo guests, couples and groups of friends. Events usually run about 3 hours, and you always sit down to eat at the end. Google reviewers rate it 5 from 123 reviews.
