Can I book a spot on my own?

No. The workshop is for groups of 8 to 12 people who sign up together. There are no openings for individuals or groups smaller than 8.

How much does the workshop cost?

It is $68 per person, for a group of 8 to 12.

When are workshops held?

November through April, Wednesday to Saturday, from 11 am to 1 pm or noon to 2 pm. During the May to October mobile season there is some availability, usually only on weekdays.

An instructional portion, hands-on time in the kitchen making your own wood-fired pizza, a pizza lunch with beer, wine or N/A drinks, ice cream from Everyone's Ice Cream, and a bottle of rooftop hot honey to take home.

Where does the workshop take place?

In the winter months the business runs out of its restaurant in West Allis.

About Flour Girl & Flame

Flour Girl & Flame is a wood-fired pizza restaurant and mobile caterer in West Allis, just outside Milwaukee. It is women-owned and part of the LGBTQ+ community, and it builds its menu around local farms. The pizza dough uses local, organic heritage flour and wild yeast.

It offers one class, the Group Pizza-Making Workshop. It opens with the story of how the business started. Then you move into the kitchen and learn to stretch, top, fire and finish your own wood-fired pizza. Lunch is the pizza you make, with beer, wine or N/A drinks and ice cream from Everyone's Ice Cream. Everyone goes home with a bottle of hot honey made by the bees in the rooftop apiary.

The catch is group size. You must book as a group of 8 to 12 people. There are no seats for individuals or smaller groups. It costs $68 per person. Workshops run November through April, Wednesday to Saturday, from 11 am to 1 pm or noon to 2 pm. During the summer mobile season, a few weekday slots open up.
