Home for Entertaining is a home goods shop in the heart of Downtown Cary. It has a demonstration kitchen and runs classes, workshops and events. The focus is on hosting as much as cooking. The shelves carry heirloom pieces, locally sourced dinnerware, linens and mah jongg sets, and the classes aim to make having people over feel easier. Southern Studio is its sister company.
The team says private cooking classes are what they do best. Menus come from their culinary partners, and each class includes tabletop styling and eating together. A private group can have up to 10 people for a hands-on cooking class, or up to 24 for a dining experience or wine tasting. They also run floral arranging workshops, corporate team building and off-site meetings.
Most classes are for adults 18 and up. You don't need to bring anything, because they supply it all. Google reviewers rate it 4.9 from 77 reviews. Public classes and their prices are listed on the shop's upcoming events calendar.
