Junior Chefs Kitchen teaches children from 2 to 18 in two studios, one in Lincoln Park and one in the West Loop. A Registered Dietitian approves the curriculum, so hands-on cooking comes with nutrition basics. Weekly classes run one hour with up to 20 kids and follow a tiered curriculum that ends in a Master Chef Celebration. Typical class groups are ages 2 to 5, kindergarten to 3rd grade, 4th to 8th grade and high school.
Families can join a semester membership, which includes a free monthly Date Night, or drop in on single fall classes such as beef empanadas, tostones, Swedish meatballs and kladdkaka. Camps start at age 4, and school day-off camps run 9am to 3pm with lunch and a snack included. The studios also run seasonal pop-ups, like Spooky Cake Decorating for ages 6 and up, plus birthday parties.

Programs cover ages 2 to 18. Specific age limits are listed on each class, camp or event, and camps start at age 4.
Camps and Parents Night Out are staff-supervised programs for kids. Parents Night Out is open to non-members and runs on the second Friday of each month, and children must be 4, potty-trained and able to use the restroom alone.
A full day runs 9am to 3pm, with two recipes cooked and eaten, crafts, games, a park trip and a lunch and snack provided. Aftercare from 3 to 5pm costs $20 extra per day.
Yes. Many fall classes are offered as drop-in bookings, and the weekly semester membership is the other route.
