Regional Italian cooking classes with drink pairings inside Eataly's Flatiron food hall
La Scuola di Eataly is the cooking school inside Eataly's Flatiron store in New York. Eataly is an Italian food hall where you can eat, shop and learn under one roof. Resident chefs teach regional Italian recipes, and every dish comes with drinks picked by Eataly's beverage experts.
You can book a demonstration, where the chef cooks and you taste each dish, or a hands-on workshop such as a fresh pasta class. The school also runs tastings of wine, spirits and beer from Italian and U.S. producers. It also hosts special dinners built around top Italian ingredients and paired with wine.
Individuals can sign up for public classes, and a seat makes a good gift. Groups can set up a private class by emailing lascuola@eataly.com. Eataly's events team can also add a cooking class to a bigger event, from a dinner for 12 to a party for 300. Private class ideas include fresh pasta and pesto made from scratch.
