Private classes for up to four in a Beacon Hill home kitchen, with Pike Place shopping
Pike to Plate is Chef Jennifer's private cooking class business. She teaches in her own home kitchen on Beacon Hill in Seattle, two blocks from the light rail station. Every class is private and takes up to four people from one party. The whole group cooks one three-course menu. You choose Persian, North African, Spanish or Italian food, and Jennifer plans the dishes around what's in season at Pike Place Market and any dietary needs you have.
Shop, Cook, and Eat starts with 45 to 60 minutes at the Market, where Jennifer takes you to her favorite vendors. Then you ride the light rail back to her kitchen, and the round trip tickets are included. Cook and Eat skips the shopping and goes straight to 75 to 90 minutes of cooking, then the meal. She also runs $20 Zoom classes, such as A Somali Supper, and a three-week Foundations course that starts in January 2027.
The school has a 5-star Google rating from 137 reviews. It's a good fit for couples, families with kids 10 and up, and visitors who want a guided look at the Market.
