Midtown craft venue with cookie decorating classes and a demonstration kitchen for bakers
The Creative Space is a modular event venue at 1525 U St in midtown Sacramento, near 16th Street. Sisters and Sacramento natives Remy and Jennifer run it as a home base for local makers. Guest instructors teach the classes, and the class menu covers card making, floral arranging and cookie decorating. Cookie decorating is the only food class here, so this is a craft studio first, not a cooking school.
The venue also has a demonstration kitchen that bakers can rent for classes or production. Much of the sisters' energy goes into pop-up markets, such as CultureFest and the Matcha vs Ube fair, now mostly held in Elk Grove.
Classes run 1 to 3 hours. They are for ages 16 and up, and you can bring your own drinks and snacks. No public classes are listed right now, so check the calendar. Private workshops for birthdays and bridal showers can be arranged by email. The venue holds a 5 rating from 13 Google reviews.
