Third Space Kitchen Newton is a cooking studio at 53 Winchester St in Newton Highlands village. People have been taught to cook in this space since 2005, most recently by Create A Cook. Founder Eric Brown is a tech and marketing entrepreneur who later completed the Professional Chefs Program at The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. He opened Newton in December 2023 as a second site after Groton. The studio has commercial equipment and several cooking stations, and it is nut-free.
Adult classes are chef-led and hands-on, and you sit down to eat what you made. This fall the Newton calendar leans toward baking and the holidays: Pie Workshop, Sourdough Basics and a weekday morning Thanksgiving 101. Ingredients, an apron and recipes to take home are included.
There is a lot for kids. The Test Kitchen is a twelve-week series on Mondays or Sundays. School vacation mornings serve ages 6 to 16, and summer weeks run too. Groups of 8 or more can book a private party, and companies come for team challenges like the Mystery Basket Throwdown. The studio holds a 4.9 Google rating from 80 reviews.
