Tuscany At Your Table

Tuscany at Your Table is an Italian deli and market on North Highland Avenue in Virginia-Highland. Luigi D'Arienzo and his wife Meredith run it. Luigi grew up in Naples, trained at the Luigi De Medici Culinary Institute and spent 15 years in Tuscany running an agriturismo. The couple opened the shop in 2016, and it holds a 4.8 Google rating from 267 reviews.

Evening classes run from 6 to 9 pm for groups of 8 to 12. You cook three dishes together and then sit down to eat them. Most menus pair a pasta with a salad and tiramisù. Choices include cacio e pepe, carbonara, pistachio pesto, shrimp linguine and a homemade pasta night with fresh marinara. Guests 21 and over taste three wines over the evening.

Every public class costs $95 per person. Groups of up to 12 can book a private weekday class for $1,140, with three bottles of wine included. Some menus can be adapted for gluten or lactose intolerance for a small fee. There are no refunds, but you can reschedule up to 48 hours ahead.
