Kids’ cooking school · Bel Air, MD
Weekly themed cooking classes for kids and teens, grouped by age and skill level
Young Chefs Academy in Bel Air is a kids cooking school at 130 N Bond St, part of a national franchise. The core is a weekly program built around a monthly theme, where each class builds on the skills from the last. Kids are placed by age and experience into three levels: KinderCooks for preschool and elementary children, JuniorChefs, and SeniorChefs. SeniorChefs is for students who have met set criteria and want more advanced technique.
Lessons cover food preparation, cooking and baking techniques, kitchen safety and food handling. They also cover table setting, manners and presentation. A single class costs $50. Monthly memberships cost $149 for KinderCooks and $159 for the two older levels. Members get a reserved weekly seat and sign no annual contract.
Beyond weekly classes, the Bel Air kitchen runs seasonal and summer camps of three hours a day over several days. It also hosts all-inclusive birthday parties, school field trips, and group bookings for fundraisers, community groups and corporate team building.
