BiteUnite is a cooking school with kitchens in New York, San Francisco, Hong Kong and several other cities. Its Los Angeles classes take place in a private kitchen studio in Culver City. For now that studio is at 3644 Overland Ave, while the main space at 3630 Overland Ave is renovated. The LA location has a 5 star Google rating from 25 reviews.
The LA lineup is short and focused. You can roll fresh tagliatelle, cook Thai curry and pad Thai, learn sushi, make tacos by hand, or fold gyoza and steamed dumplings. Most of these menus end with dessert. A chef takes you through every step, so you need no experience, and you sit down at the end to eat what you made. Classes last 2 to 3 hours. Ingredients, aprons and equipment are included.
Public classes run on Fridays and weekends, and each booking needs at least two guests. The studio seats up to 20, which suits birthdays, date nights and office team events. Private bookings are charged for a minimum of 10 guests.
