Black-owned Valley team that brings hands-on cooking classes and parties to your kitchen
BLVD Kitchen is a Black-owned, female-led cooking business based in the San Fernando Valley. It has no teaching kitchen of its own. A chef comes to your home or event space with the recipes, ingredients and tools, then handles set up and clean up. Every class is also available as a private Zoom lesson.
Private lessons cover the topic and menu you choose, from the basics to a global cuisine to professional baking techniques. Group options include the DIY Dinner Party, where guests cook the meal together. There are also combo events like Cookie Decorating & Cocoa, sushi rolling and dim sum dumplings, which work in offices without a full kitchen. Kids birthday parties are a big part of the business, and Cupcake Boss is the most popular.
Proprietor Sharon Graves is a baker at heart. She won Best in Show, Best Fruit Pie and Best Crust at the KCRW Good Food Pie contest. Chef Michal Harris is the culinary director. The team also caters across Los Angeles, and BLVD Kitchen holds a 4.8 Google rating from 12 reviews.
