About Hubbard Arts Center
Hubbard Arts Center is the Derby Recreation Commission's arts building. It sits in the old 6th grade center at 309 N. Woodlawn in Derby. Cooking classes happen in The Kitchen, a commercial-grade demonstration kitchen. The DRC runs it as a teaching and learning space for all ages and levels.
The cooking lineup covers baking, seasonal cooking, cultural cooking, quick and easy meals, and sweet treats. The Kitchen shares the building with the rest of the ArtSpot programs, including pottery, painting, glass fusing and dance in Studio H. A family can find several kinds of classes under one roof.
This is a public recreation program, not a private cooking school. You don't need to live in the USD 260 school district to sign up for DRC programs. The center has a 4.8 Google rating from 62 reviews. It suits locals who want an approachable class close to home more than cooks looking for an intensive course.
