Wichita bistro where Guy's Grocery Games winner Natasha Gandhi-Rue also teaches classes
The Kitchen is a from-scratch bistro first. It serves soups, Buddha bowls, brisket-blend burgers and dinner plates like Whiskey Beef Stroganoff, and it also runs cooking classes. Chef and owner Natasha Gandhi-Rue opened it with her husband, Scott, in 2016 inside Union Station in downtown Wichita. Today it sits at 3622 N Oliver.
Natasha trained at the International Culinary Center (formerly the French Culinary Institute) in New York. She spent 15 years as International Culinary Chef Manager for Williams-Sonoma, running its global culinary programs. She won Guy's Grocery Games and represented Kansas on NBC's Today Show Thanksgiving special. She pitches her classes at food lovers of all skill levels and wants them to leave confident in their own kitchens.
Classes are a side offering here, not the main business. The restaurant doesn't publish a regular class schedule, so call (316) 364-3557 to ask what's coming up. The Kitchen holds a 4.2 Google rating from 314 reviews.
