Kids’ cooking school · Sunnyvale, CA
Kids' cooking school chain with tiered weekly classes from preschool through teens
Young Chefs Academy is a chain of kids' cooking schools that has taught children and teens for twenty years. Its main offer is a weekly class built around a monthly theme. Each week's skills build on the last. Kids move through three levels: KinderCooks for preschool and elementary ages, JuniorChefs, and SeniorChefs for students who meet set criteria and want more advanced technique.
Lessons cover more than recipes. The curriculum includes kitchen safety, food handling, presentation, table setting and manners alongside cooking and baking. New families can start with an Intro Class. Seasonal and summer camps run as 3-hour, multi-day sessions with new recipes each week, plus challenges and competitions.
Grown-ups get more than the name suggests. There are evening classes for adults, family workshops, field trips and corporate team building. On Friday nights, Kids Night Out gives parents an evening to themselves. Weekly memberships may carry a one-time registration or uniform fee.
