Antsy Nancy is a Tucson studio for beginner how-to classes. Cooking is one part of the lineup, alongside crafts, flower arranging and even Mahjong. The main space is in River Center on E River Rd, across the parking lot from Whole Foods Market, and some kids' programs run at Tucson Mall. Founder Heidi Yribar runs it, and it holds a 5 rating from 145 Google reviews.
The food classes lean heavily on baking and decorating. You'll find seasonal cookie decorating classes like Candy Cane Lane, plus macarons, cocoa bombs, sourdough starter and bread, and a candy class covering fudge, truffles and caramel. For savory food there's How to Make Tamales and a Holiday Appetizers Cooking Class. Many are Parent & Child classes, where one parent and one child make a project together for a single fee.
Classes cost $75 to $95 and include materials. At adult classes and evening events, guests 21 and over can bring wine or beer. Private parties take up to 36 people in person, and every class can also be run remotely.
