Home-kitchen cooking classes in Saint Paul with Shelagh Mullen, six to eight cooks at a time
SheCooks.Design is Shelagh Mullen's cooking class business, run out of her own kitchen at 1803 Berkeley Avenue in Saint Paul. Shelagh was born and raised in Saint Paul and has worked in food for over 20 years. Classes are casual and hands-on, with six to eight people each. The focus is everyday meals, kitchen skills and time-saving techniques. You can bring wine, and you taste everything you make.
Past students mention a pasta class where they made homemade gnocchi with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh ricotta. They also mention a Sourdough for Beginners class and an online Kitchen Confidence 2.0 class. One parent's review describes a kids cooking camp.
Private classes take up to six people and are tailored to your skill level and menu. Corporate classes for small teams of up to eight include lunch. Shelagh also leads GráBia, a small-group food tour of Ireland. The April 27 to May 6, 2027 trip is sold out.
