SheCooks.Design is Shelagh Mullen's one-woman cooking school, run out of her kitchen at 1803 Berkeley Avenue in Saint Paul. Shelagh was born and raised in Saint Paul and has worked in food for over 20 years. Classes are hands-on and capped at six to eight people, so there is time for questions. The focus is everyday meals and baked goods you can make again at home, and there is plenty of tasting along the way.
Reviewers describe making homemade gnocchi with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh ricotta on a date night, and a beginner sourdough class that felt like baking with friends. Some families also mention a kids cooking camp. You are invited to bring wine.
Shelagh also teaches private classes for up to six adults, which she tailors to your skill level, and corporate classes for teams of up to eight that include lunch. She leads an annual GráBia food tour of Ireland too. The school holds a 5 rating from 89 Google reviews.
