Kitchen store with classes · St Paul, MN
A 50-year-old Grand Ave kitchen store with cooking schools in St. Paul and the North Loop
Cooks of Crocus Hill is a kitchen store first. Its flagship has stood on Grand Ave in St. Paul's Crocus Hill neighborhood for over 50 years. A second store in the Minneapolis North Loop also has a cooking school. Along with the classes you'll find shelves of cookware, a coffee lab and a monthly crop share from local farms.
Classes come in two styles. In participation classes you do the cooking yourself. Rebecca Pirtle runs The Great Bundt Bake-Off, a technical challenge in the style of the Great British Bake-off, and Liza Atkinson's Sunday Souper Star covers freezer-friendly batch soups. In demonstration classes you sit back and watch, as in a biodynamic wine session with Soter Vineyards. There are also boot camps, camps for kids and teens, and one-on-one coaching with a chef instructor.
Private events include team building, birthdays and weddings. St. Paul holds up to 50 guests and Minneapolis up to 40. On Google it's rated 4.5 from 124 reviews.
