The Winter Garden: A Culinary Adventure

There's something magical growing in the Meraki garden this winter!Join us for six weeks of cozy cooking, seasonal discoveries, and garden-to-table adventures! Our Winter Garden series brings together delicious comfort foods, creative baking, and the wonderful world of growing our own food. Each week, students will step into both the kitchen and the garden as they explore what grows during Arizona's cooler months. We'll plant and care for winter vegetables, discover fragrant herbs, investigate seeds and roots, and learn how the ingredients we use in our recipes begin in the garden. From making individual cottage pies and homemade empanadas to preparing fresh pesto and delicious baked treats, students will develop their culinary skills while discovering the connection between growing food and cooking it.
