It’s high time we have a celebration for our dearly departed Hot Stove Society radio co-host and chef extraordinaire, Thierry Rautureau, the “Chef in the Hat”. With the blessings of his wife Kathy, I have put together a lunch that reminds me of his restaurant “Luc” formerly in Madison Valley. This was my personal favorite of their joints having had many suppers and “Luc-a-tinis “ at the spectacular neighborhood cafe named after his spirited father. One hundred percent of the ticket price for this birthday lunch will be donated to the American Lung Association’s Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis research fund. Thierry’s bout with IPF went a full 12 rounds before he passed. I will share some favorite stories and we can discuss recipes and techniques from his Rovers cookbook, if time permits.
