Take a culinary trip to Japan and discover a different approach to breakfast. Rather than one large centerpiece, a traditional Japanese morning meal brings together several smaller dishes—rice, soup, egg, vegetables, and pickles—creating a table filled with contrasting flavors, textures, and cooking techniques. This Beyond the Recipe class introduces you to the techniques, ingredients, and philosophy behind the Japanese breakfast table. As always, you'll enjoy a relaxed, chef-led, hands-on cooking experience and receive a take-home recipe booklet so you can confidently bring these Japanese morning traditions into your own kitchen.
