with Laura Palace As the weather cools down, warm up by learning to make a comforting menu of classic British pub foods. We will start off with traditional Yorkshire Puddings , mastering the science of using smoking-hot fat to transform a simple batter into a towering, golden pastry that is beautifully crisp on the outside, light and hollow on the inside, and perfect for soaking up a rich gravy. Next, we will build a crowd-pleasing, traditional Cottage Pie by simmering ground beef with vegetables in a savory gravy, topped with a thick, golden layer of mashed potatoes. For a grand finale, you will bake a moist, rich Sticky Toffee Pudding made with sweet dates and smothered in a warm, scratch-made toffee sauce, and perfectly paired with cold vanilla ice cream.
