with Emily Baron Bring a little extra warmth to your holiday table with two beautiful breads made from one wonderfully versatile enriched dough. In this festive hands-on class, we’ll shape the dough into a stunning star bread and a beautifully twisted babka , filling one with something sweet and the other with something savory. Along the way, we’ll work through the dough from start to finish and learn the techniques behind rolling, filling, twisting and shaping these show-stopping breads. We’ll share tips for working with enriched dough and talk about how to adapt the fillings for whatever the season—or your holiday table—calls for. Come bake, share, and enjoy the cozy spirit of the season!

The Asheville Kitchen is a small recreational cooking studio with a full calendar of savory and sweet classes. Classes are capped at 8 people working across 4 cooktops. Unless a class is labeled Demonstration, you cook the whole menu yourself. Some classes have you working alone and others in pairs, so if you come by yourself you may be paired with another student.
